Data Deletion Instruction
Please read our data deletion instructions carefully.
Last Updated: 15-AUG-2025
You can delete your account (and most associated data) yourself at any time. If you only want to remove invitee/RSVP data or need help, use the contact options below.
1) Delete Your Account (Self-Serve)
- Log in to your InviteFlare account.
- Go to Account > Settings.
- Select Delete My Account and follow the confirmation prompts.
What gets deleted with account deletion
- Your profile and login credentials
- Your invitations/eCards, drafts, media uploads, and project data
- Guest/recipient lists and RSVP data that you created or uploaded
What we may retain (and why)
- Payment & billing records – retained as required by tax and accounting laws
- Security & audit logs – retained for a limited period to prevent fraud/abuse
- Backups – deleted on a rolling basis; data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days
2) Delete Invitee / RSVP Data Only
If you only want to remove guests, recipient emails, or RSVP records (without deleting your whole account):
- Open the relevant invitation/event in your dashboard.
- Go to Guests / Recipients and delete specific contacts or Clear All.
- To stop future emails to a specific address, remove the contact and re-send invites only to the updated list.
Invitees without an InviteFlare account: If you received an invite and want your email erased, contact the event organizer directly or write to us at contact@inviteflare.com and we can assist the organizer in erasing your data.
Processing Time & Verification
- Account deletion takes effect immediately; most data is removed or anonymized promptly.
- Backups are purged on a rolling schedule (typically within 90 days).
- We may request email verification or additional details to confirm ownership of the account/request.
